MIST COLLECTOR
 

Polluted air from oily substances pass through a mechanical separating device made up of a helical element and a metal screen, both inserted into a duct which has the same section as the intake opening. Due to the centrifugal force given to the polluted air, in this preliminary filter the oil drops against the metal screen in the duct which prevents their return into the airflow. The droplet slides along the wall of the duct itself to their collection point at the end of hopper. Almost all the oils in suspension in the air are thus separated before being filtered through metal mesh and pocket filter. Oil filter has been designed and manufactured according to laws and standards given by the American Conference of Governmental Industrial Hygenist which set the TVL and TWA limit threshold values and maximum acceptable concentration of the different polluting substances. (for emulsion 5mg/m3).

Application :
Mechanical industry : multiple machining lathes, threading machines, gear cutting machines, grinding machines, cold pressing machines etc.
Food industry : vegetable oil fog spraying machine, alimentary paste machines etc.

 
 
Picture shows example of 2nd filter made of aluminum wool provides abundant surface area for oil mist condensation.
